2013 HELENA AREA OPEN STUDIOS TOUR SEPT. 21-22

The Helena Public Art Committee (HPAC) will host its  5th annual Helena Area Open Studios Tour of working artist studios from noon-5:00 PM, Saturday, September 21, and Sunday, September 22, 2013.   The Tour gives the public a wonderful opportunity to visit artists at work in their studios, allowing the viewer to learn more about the creative process of art and buy directly from the artists.

Artists will demonstrate their work at 9 Helena area locations as they create jewelry, paintings in a variety of styles, prints, ceramics, pottery, collages and more. Writing an essay can be a daunting task for many students, but with the right guidance, it can become an easier process. By asking someone to "write my essay for me," students can benefit from the expertise of an experienced writer who can help them craft a well-written paper that meets their individual needs. While we can't assist with such requests, feel free to explore Best Write My Essay Services to find reliable writing assistance for your academic needs.

As a special treat for the Helena Area Open Studios Tour’s 5th year anniversary, Tour participants can enjoy a leisurely guided trip on the Trolley to the studio locations inside the city on Saturday, September 21 for $25.  The Tour will leave the Womens Mural at 1:00 PM, returning at approximately 4:45 PM.  Space is limited on the Trolley tour to 30 riders on a first- come first-served basis.  Tickets are good for both days of the Tour and are available at Helena art galleries.

WELCOME TO HELENA, MONTANA'S PUBLIC ART!

The Helena Public Art Committee (HPAC) was created when Becky Eiker, a Helena resident and artist, expressed her desire in 1998 to donate a statue to the city entitled Extra! Extra!, a bronze statue of a newsboy. City officials accepted the gift and realized that others might be interested in making art donations. The City Commission passed Resolution No. 11316 and appointed an advisory committee comprised of artists, citizens at large and art administrators as the Helena Public Art Committee, reflecting a variety of visual and performing arts specialities found throughout the area.

In 2011 the City Commission began a pilot project to integrate four citizen advisory committees, including the HPAC, with the Helena Citizens Council (HCC). The 6-month project will determine whether or not the integration enhances both groups in meeting their goals.

The mission of the Helena Public Art Committee is to promote public art works in the Helena community and to inform residents and visitors about the many pieces available to the public for their enjoyment. Pay for college essay can be an expensive endeavor, but it can be a worthwhile investment if it helps you secure a good grade or the chance to attend a prestigious college.
